Abstract

The Human Development Index or commonly abbreviated as HDI, is one of the strategic data produced by the Central Bureau of Statistics. As a composite index, HDI is able to measure human development through three important dimensions, namely the health dimension as measured by Life Expectancy, the educational dimension as measured by the expected length of schooling and average length of schooling, and the dimension of decent living as measured by adjusted per capita spending.
